Sensational singer Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears doesn’t have good things to say about her mother Lynne. Now it seems the situation has taken an unexpected turn.

According to legal documentation obtained by PEOPLE, Jamie Spears has alleged that ex-wife Lynne Spears is “the one who exploited her daughter’s pain and trauma for personal profit by publishing a book.”

The accusation is a reference to Lynne Spears’ 2008 book titled Through the Storm, which revealed a lot of details regarding the family. The allegation was made when both parents are fighting over financial matters related to Britney Spears’ conservatorship.

According to The Blast, back in July of last year, Spears’ mother filed documents to be part of all decisions pertaining to her finances. However, her father has partial control of Britney’s finances as her co-conservator, along with Bessemer Trust Co.

According to PEOPLE, Britney’s mother filed new legal documents to contest a four-month fee of $890,000 that the law firm representing her ex-husband, Holland & Knight, requested.

Lynne Spears further argued that some of these fees from Jamie Spears’ attorneys were “procedurally and substantively improper,” according to her court documents.

As a form of retaliation due to these accusations, Jamie Spears’ firm fired back with the aforementioned legal documentation. Jamie Spears’ law firm also wants the court to overrule Lynne’s objection over the $890,000 worth of fees; the firm accused Lynne’s objection of having “evidence bias.”

This is certainly a very complicated legal matter and we wonder whether it is taking a mental toll on Britney Spears as well. We will keep you updated on this ongoing case.
