Kobe Bryant remained with the LA Lakers and never took a trip to the nearby Clippers, but it was apparently a real possibility.

Bryant was a man who thought out a lot of things. Even the colors he was wearing could mean something more. While speaking to the All The Smoke podcast, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss revealed how close Kobe actually came to leaving for the Clippers.

“[He gave] very subtle [hints]. He wore their colors, not a jersey, just the colors he was wearing that day. I can see he likes challenges, and that would’ve been a huge thing, a challenge. I think that [Bryant’s departure] was something that was very possible.”

The Clippers were rumored to be throwing everything into their offer for Kobe to sign with them. All of that effort didn’t get him to leave, but there was a serious possibility that he would take them up on that offer.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
