DMX’s passing hit fans hard all around the world. Scammers are also jumping in and trying to capitalize on that outpouring.

X’s family does not need help with funeral costs. They are not in need of money or having financial problems. This is something they wanted to make very clear to TMZ when calling out some scammers recently. Some disgusting scammers, claiming to be DMX’s family, are trying to cash in.

These crowd sourcing campaigns are getting shut down when they can, but a few have popped up. It’s best to educate as many people as possible so these scammers don’t have a chance. DMX’s family does not need any help and they’re not asking fans for a dime.

Another note to point out is that DMX isn’t selling any merchandise right now. Any t-shirts you see are not legit and his family didn’t authorize them. Now might be a great time to open up a DMX shop for that authentic apparel. That might shut the bootleggers down as well.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
