DMX was one of the most popular rappers in all of the Hip-Hop world. DMX recently passed away after being hospitalized due to an apparent drug overdose.

The rapper has provided fans with several classics throughout his career that spanned over two decades. According to AllHipHop, close friends of the late rapper stated that a new album from DMX will be dropping eventually.

Darrin “Dee” Dean of Ruff Ryders Inc. and Craig Brodhead, X’s manager, spoke to Lisa Evers after DMX passed away, and stated that the rapper had been recording an album during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s sad that he’s not gonna be here, but the music…This album right here is special,” said Dean. “Like you probably never heard no music like you heard on this one that we did right now. This is probably one of his great albums. One of the best. It’s a classic, for sure.”

“He was excited about it, he couldn’t wait to promote it and get out there with the music,” Broadhead added.

A TV series based on DMX fixing his relationship with his children was also in production. No further details were provided regarding the TV series.

The world truly lost an amazing rapper and it is likely the void will never be filled. We will have to see how the posthumous album will turn out to be when it drops.
