Conor McGregor remains one of the most popular fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. He is also a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion. Now it seems he has his eyes set on a recently vacated title.

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently retired from active competition in the UFC and due to this, had vacated the UFC lightweight title. The main event of UFC 262 will see No. 3 Charles Oliveira and No. 4 Michael Chandler compete for the vacant title.

Now it seems the Notorious One certainly has not forgotten about the title as well. McGregor recently took to Instagram and uploaded a post where he made his intentions clear – McGregor is gunning for the UFC lightweight title.

“The 155lb World Champion. Book it!”

McGregor’s last match saw him being TKO’d by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. Perhaps he will have better luck against the winner of UFC 262’s lightweight title match.
