We are very sad to learn about the passing of Keyshawn Johnson’s daughter Maia. He revealed the news of her passing with multiple tweet on Monday, March 15th.
He did not revel how his first-born child passed away, but the heartache is obviously terrible to endure. She will be remembered for her personality and how much she meant to everyone around her. She will be truly missed.
It is with incredible sadness that I have to share the news about the passing of my beautiful Daughter Maia. Maia, as my first born child, has been the joy of my, and her Mother Shikiri’s, life.
She came into our lives just as we were both coming of age as adults and has been a constant beloved presence for both of us. We are heartbroken and devastated by her loss. Shikiri, Maia’s siblings, our family and me appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Maia was Johnson’s first-born with ex-wife Shikiri Hightower. The two were married from 1998 to 2002.
Our thoughts are with Keyshawn Johnson and his entire family as they deal with this tragic loss.
