Tom Brady has agreed to a one-year extension on his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This will see him with the Bucs through the 2022 season.

This news comes off the recent speculation that he would stick around Tampa. A Super Bowl ring obviously helped the situation, and the two sides were able to make something work.

Per Ian Rapoport, Brady agreed to a one-year extension.

The #Bucs have agreed to terms on a 1-year extension for QB Tom Brady, sources say, one that gives the Super Bowl champs some cap room and locks Brady in 2022.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that this deal would save the Buc $19 million against their salary cap this season. Brady signed a two-year $50 million deal with the Bucs that was guaranteed into March of last year.

Now that Brady is sticking around, they’ll have to work on keeping Gronk and focusing on claiming more rings.
