You never know what people will be talking about when you log onto Twitter. 9/10 times anyone’s name trending with “RIP” next to it isn’t even dead. Fans didn’t know what to think when they saw “Paul Wall” and “Eminem” trending this evening.

Someone sent out a tweet that went absolutely virial. It also sparked a heated debate between hip-hop fans. This observation threw out the statement saying: “Mac Miller was the only white rapper that didn’t try to sound like Eminem.”

First off, RIP Mac Miller, secondly, a wave of responses poured in. So much so that Twitter set a trending topic. When users of the popular social media platform clicked on the trending topic, the description read:

“People are naming other artists whose music they think has a unique sound after it was suggested a lot of white rappers ‘try to sound like Eminem'”

Fans were quick to point out that Paul Wall does not fall into that category at all. Others threw out names like Bubba Sparxxx. Tons of fans flooded timelines with white rappers who don’t try to sound like Slim Shady.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries.
