Floyd Mayweather is a veteran in the world of professional boxing but has been retired from boxing for quite some time now. However, he remains committed to partaking in exhibition matches sometimes.

Mayweather was initially scheduled to face off against Logan Paul. However, that match ultimately did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There were rumors that the fight wouldn’t be a money-maker and Logan Paul quashed those rumors by stating the pre-fight pay-per-view numbers were huge.

During Mayweather’s recent 44th birthday party, the boxing star was approached by TMZ who asked him about the likelihood of his fight against Logan Paul actually happening.

Mayweather confirmed that the match will still take place. It is simply the matter of making sure it is in a safe environment and in the best conditions possible.

“I know it’s going to happen,” Floyd said. “We just want make sure everything is right and everything is where it should be.”
