Megan Thee Stallion is in a messy legal feud with her label. Hot Girl Meg had sued 1501 back in February to declare the record fulfilled her contract. As a result, the record label countersued Megan Thee Stallion. Now, Megan is proving that isn’t going to walk away from her record label without a fight.

The “Savage” rapper recently filed a lawsuit against for the second time in her career. She claimed that the label pulling an “unlawful” stunt to “chain” her to a contract she considers “unconscionable.” As a result, 1501 Certified Entertainment is countersuing.

Megan Thee Stallion is furious about 1501 countersuing her. To voice her displeasure, she took to Twitter with some words about the situation. “First the man over my label said I don’t make him any money … now he counter suing trying to keep me on his label because he wants to make more money lol if I ain’t making you no money why not just drop me?” Meg wrote. “My lawyers asked him for an expense report(money 1501 supposedly has spent on ME)… why this grown a** man put his jewelry and chains on there… lord free me from this joke a** label” she concluded.

The record label is claiming her last “album” actually wasn’t an album. In addition to this, the label says that she owes them more recordings and a lot of money. The label’s countersuit, filed Monday, calls out Megan for her “Something for Thee Hotties” album release last year. The record label considers the album to be nothing more than a compilation of old, previously-released material.

According to docs, obtained by TMZ, the label says ‘Something’ is “made up of 21 recordings and includes spoken interlude recordings on which MTS does not appear as well as several previously-released recordings.” 1501 says there’s a mere 29 minutes worth of new material, and to them, that’s not enough to qualify as an album under her deal. If the judge rules in 1501’s favor, ‘Something’ wouldn’t count as an album under Megan’s contract and she would owe the label 2 more albums.

We’ll have to see what’s going on next for Megan Thee Stallion and her various legal issues. Keep checking Thirsty for updates.
