Springsteen admitted to one misdemeanor count of alcohol consumption in an enclosed area. He admitted to drinking on federal property, where alcohol is forbidden at the Gateway National Recreational Area.

The other charges levied against him were that of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. These charges were dismissed by the prosecution who rested their case, stated, his Blood Alcohol Concentration was well below the legal limit at .02.

Springsteen’s attorney Mitchell Ansell announced that the singer was pretty pleased with the court verdict in this case.

“Mr. Springsteen is pleased with the outcome of today’s court appearance. “Mr. Springsteen, who has no previous criminal record of any kind, voluntarily plead guilty to a violation of consuming an alcoholic beverage in a closed area, agreeing to a fine of $500. We want to thank the Court and will have no further comment at this time.”

We hope that Springsteen does not get into more trouble due to his ‘spirited’ endeavors.
