Big changes are coming to Fox’s Animation Domination block in 2025, and they’re bound to get fans talking. For the first time in years, Family Guy is set to take over The Simpsons’ iconic Sunday night time slot. This major reshuffle follows the recent 35th anniversary of The Simpsons and the 25th anniversary of Family Guy, both cornerstone shows in Fox’s animated lineup.

Initially, Family Guy was slated to move to a midweek slot for its upcoming 23rd season. However, Fox announced a new plan during a special preview event hosted by Jerry O’Connell. Beginning in February, Family Guy will return to Sunday nights alongside Grimsburg (Season 2), The Great North (Season 5), and Krapopolis (Season 2). With The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers absent from the February schedule, fans will have to wait longer than expected for their return.

While the exact time slots for the new lineup are yet to be revealed, it’s likely Family Guy will kick things off at 8:00 PM EST, setting the tone for the night. This shakeup signals a big shift for Fox, as Family Guy steps into a role that has long been synonymous with The Simpsons.

If you’re missing The Simpsons or Bob’s Burgers, there’s good news—both shows’ back catalogs are streaming on Hulu. The Simpsons is also available on Disney+, including a new Christmas special exclusive to the platform. Meanwhile, Family Guy fans can dive into its back catalog on Hulu, which also hosts exclusive Halloween and Christmas specials.
