Madonna remains one of the most iconic stars in the entire music industry. Despite being over 60 years of age, she can still heat things up whenever she feels like it. However, the singer is now set to bring the “Celebration Tour” to Nashville this winter amid Tennessee’s new legislation against drag performers.

On Monday, the “Express Yourself” icon revealed eight new tour dates, one of which is in Music City on December 22 and will benefit transgender organizations through ticket sales. The winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 8, Bob the Drag Queen, will reportedly join her on stage. However, the performers might face consequences for taking the stage in front of a crowd that might include fans who are not adults.

Madonna took to her Instagram to announce the extended musical tour and her Nashville concert. She also discussed the numerous laws that are being proposed in legislatures across the nation.

“The oppression of the LGBTQ+ is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it’s creating an unsafe environment; making America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color.

Also, these so-called laws to protect. our children are unfounded and pathetic. Anyone with half a brain knows not to f–k with a drag queen.

Bob [The Drag Queen] and I will see you from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty that is the Queer community!”

The Tennessee legislature has just passed legislation regarding “adult cabaret performance.” The law now includes “male or female impersonators,” which states that

“it is an offense for a person to engage in an adult cabaret performance … In a location where the adult cabaret performance could be viewed by a person who is not an adult.”

A first offense would be considered a misdemeanor, which carries a maximum fine and/or jail sentence of $2,500. Additional offenses would be felonies, which could result in a six-month prison sentence. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get more updates regarding the upcoming concert.
