Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was hospitalized on Tuesday after being attacked by a group of men inside a gym in Florida, his lawyer confirmed. The controversial artist, who has a history of legal troubles and cooperating with federal authorities, was reportedly jumped by three or four assailants while he was in a sauna at an LA Fitness in South Florida.

A video of the incident has been circulating on social media that shows the rapper covering his face as he gets punched and kicked on the ground. In the first video to emerge post the beatdown, 6ix9ine can be seen walking out of the changing room with blood all over his face and his clothes mangled.

He even accused the cameraman of jumping him. He was then transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

One fan managed to post a clip that showed the rapper working out moments before he was brutally assaulted. In the video, Tekashi can be seen in a Moncler puffer jacket as he works out on the elliptical.

In the clip, 6ix9ine’s security personnel are nowhere to be seen indicating that he became more comfortable being out in public without any backup. His attorney mentioned that they will be informing the feds about the incident.

Since testifying in court, 6ix9ine had gone unscathed till now. This should teach him a lesson that he should be more strategic when he’s moving in public. We at Thirsty For News wish him the best in his recovery.
