XFL is a pretty new league and is finding its feet amid the great popularity of the NFL. Being such a modern iteration of the sport, the mechanics around the league is also a bit immature. As a result, the league accidentally showed a player stripping off his jersey on TV.

Following a game between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Arlington Renegades, ESPN cameras headed to the locker room. A.J. McCarron, the quarterback for the Battlehawks, was enjoying himself with his team. To everyone’s surprise, one of McCarron’s teammates was all bare from the waist down before a towel barely covered him.

The game was itself a big deal but this incident has taken the internet by storm. The camera followed McAaron into the dressing rooms without thinking out the situation inside. It’s natural people would be undressing inside after the game and ESPN should’ve acted more vigilantly while being live.

Heading into this game, both teams sat in the second seed in their respective divisions, with a 2-1 record. Anthony Becht’s Battlehawks has been on a roll, boosted by solid play from AJ McCarron. Meanwhile, Bob Stoops’ Renegades made the switch to Kyle Sloter at QB, which elevated the offensive performance last week.

The St. Louis Battlehawks appeared to be in complete control of the game from the outset. They required some time to establish an attacking strategy. It was only a matter of time before McCarron took over this game.

In the end, the Battlehawks won 24-11. This is why TV cameras in the locker room are never a good idea and the reason the NFL doesn’t do this. This is the kind of thing you’d expect in a locker room and should be avoided.
