John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and is viewed as one of the true GOATs of professional wrestling now. Despite his demanding schedule in Hollywood, Cena always makes time for his fans in the WWE universe. In fact, he went above and beyond by finishing all of his prior engagements to ensure that he could be present for RAW this week, which was held in his hometown of Boston. In fact, Cena even produced his own segment on RAW this week.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, John Cena made a highly-anticipated comeback and was visibly emotional upon hearing the cheers from the live audience. He got into a fiery exchange with Austin Theory and eventually agreed to face him in a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 39.

It was largely a one-sided beatdown, as John Cena verbally obliterated Austin Theory in the promo and ended up setting up their match at the Show of Shows.

It appears that the creative control for a recent segment involving John Cena and Austin Theory was largely given to Cena, with Theory playing a supporting role. As a result, the segment did not require much input from producers, as Cena was trusted to come up with his own material and bring his own unique style to the performance.

This trend of wrestlers being given greater creative freedom is not uncommon, as evidenced by recent segments involving Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes. We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Cena and Theory’s feud in the coming weeks.
