Jake Gyllenhaal has been making waves in the entertainment industry since he first hit the scene in the late 1990s. However, his latest role in the upcoming Road House remake has fans buzzing about his seriously ripped physique.

The 42-year-old actor was spotted filming a shirtless scene for the movie, flaunting washboard abs and bulging muscles as he made his way onto a UFC stage. Gyllenhaal is playing a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer in the Florida Keys and soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise, according to the synopsis.

In a video of the scene, Gyllenhaal’s character is announced as “the challenger” as he bounds onto the stage and pulls off his sweatshirt, revealing his eye-popping body. Sporting a full-on six-pack, pronounced pecs, and sculpted arms, the A-list heartthrob certainly looked the part as he stared down his opponent.

Fully in character, a jacked Gyllenhaal weighed in at the podium before slapping his hulking opponent, mixed martial artist Jay Hieron, 46. The Ambulance star flexed his jaw-dropping guns and roared for the crowd, exhibiting a hefty amount of macho angst.

Taking to the mic, the Brokeback Mountain star called out his opponent in the movie and called him a f**king joke.

“This fuer just makes me laugh, cuz he’s a FUING JOKE! Let’s go. Just give me the belt. Just give it to me. Hand it to me.”

Hieron’s character was none too pleased, as he called Gyllenhaal’s fighter “a fu**ing bum” and said, “I promise you that’s the one and only hit you get. I’m putting you to sleep tomorrow night.”

The Road House remake, which is directed by Doug Liman, is a reimagining of the 1989 cult classic that starred Patrick Swayze as a bouncer hired to clean up a rough-and-tumble Missouri bar. The film is set to be released in 2023, and Gyllenhaal’s performance is already generating a lot of buzz.
