Under the visionary leadership of James Gunn, DC Studios is undergoing a profound transformation. Together with Peter Safran, the dynamic duo has boldly charted a new course for the DC Universe, embarking on a complete overhaul of the franchise. This sweeping initiative has resulted in the cancellation of several highly anticipated films, including the highly anticipated Black Adam 2.

According to Forbes, Gunn and Safran have orchestrated an ambitious slate of no less than 10 new movies, television, and animation projects that are set to electrify audiences and redefine the boundaries of the superhero genre.

The recent upheavals at DC Studios have left fans and industry insiders alike speculating about the fate of the beloved DC Universe. Yet, amidst the swirl of rumors and speculation, DC Studios’ top honcho, James Gunn, has taken to social media to address the situation head-on.

James Gunn, the visionary leader of DC Studios, is not one to back down from a challenge, whether it be in the realm of filmmaking or reputation management. Recently, Gunn found himself under fire from a disgruntled fan who accused him of being a “professional liar” in the wake of rumors surrounding the possibility of Ben Affleck directing the upcoming Batman movie, The Brave and The Bold.

Ever the consummate professional, Gunn took to social media once again to defend himself against these unfounded accusations.

James Gunn stated that he did in fact speak with Ben Affleck about directing a film, but not necessarily the new Batman movie, The Brave and The Bold. When a fan accused Gunn of dishonesty, the DC Studios boss was quick to defend himself against these unwarranted attacks.

“For years it’s been my commitment to the fans that I will never lie to them… and I never have. I’d be very curious about what it is you think I’ve lied about.”

The fan replied that Gunn had previously lied about not wanting to run DC and not wanting to make a Superman film. However, he shut down the fan by dismantling his argument.

“Neither of those were lies. I was offered Superman but did Squad instead. A few years later I saw how to tackle Superman & took it on. I didn’t want to be the sole CEO of DC, but when they came & offered it to me AND Peter I said yes because I could focus on the creative side.”

James Gunn then reiterated that he has never lied to the fans but he will have to make changes to his plans as studio chief.

“Again, I’ve never once lied to the fans, and never will,” he said. “That doesn’t mean I’m never going to change my mind about anything.”

James Gunn then left the conversation as fans asked him about the Snyderverse which he has previously said is done. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
