Christina Ricci Accused Of Dialing Child Protective Services On Ex-Husband

Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen finalized their divorce in December. They decided to share joint legal custody with Ricci while giving her the majority of physical custody. However, Heerdegen has taken legal action in an effort to secure more custody of their son. Heerdegen has also made the serious allegation that Ricci contacted Child Protective Services regarding him.

According to court records that RadarOnline.com was able to obtain, Heerdegen has submitted a declaration in court as part of his ongoing custody battle with Ricci concerning their 8-year-old.

Heerdegen’s overnight visits with the child were recently stopped by the divorce judge at Ricci’s request, as RadarOnline.com reported first. According to the Wednesday star, the child’s therapist made the recommendation in light of a number of allegations.

“[Heerdegen is] requesting that my overnights be restored, given that they were taken away under the false pretense of their being an established status, quo, which there wasn’t.”

Heerdegen claimed to have completed the required eight parenting classes. Heerdegen went on to say that Ricci and the child’s therapist had, “attempted to have child protective services open a case [against him] with the claims they submitted to the court.”

“Child Protective Services declined to even investigate, indicating that the allegations against me do not (in the eyes of the State of California) merit the need for child protection.”

Ricci is charged with being driven by rage by Heerdegen. He claimed that on December 20, 2022, she told him he “deserves to lose my child, my career, and all agency because of the hell I put her through.” He continued that Ricci “has refused on multiple occasions to attend any kind of co-parenting counseling with me, in spite of the fact that it would help us to communicate, for the benefit of our son.”

“Ricci’s refusal shows that she is not willing to compromise her anger for the sake of her own child’s well-being.”
