Avril Lavigne and Tyga are now heating up rumors that they may be dating.
Avril Lavigne is fueling rumors that she’s dating Tyga after calling off her engagement to Mod Sun. The singer of ‘When You’re Gone’ and the rapper of ‘Rack City’ were observed arriving at Leonardo DiCaprio’s party at Kuku restaurant in Paris on Wednesday. In photos obtained by TMZ Lavigne attempted but failed to maintain a low profile by concealing her head in a hoodie.
The “Complicated” singer verified her split from Mod Sun at the end of February after being seen out and about with Tyga. Her now-ex-fiancé, on the other hand, was completely taken aback by the breakup. “They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him,” Mod Sun’s rep claimed in a statement.
Despite being caught off guard, the “Karma” singer refused to cancel any shows. “The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour,” his rep added. Mod Sun later told his followers that he was “broken” because his fiancée had left him.
“In 1 week my entire life completely changed,” the rapper, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, wrote on Instagram Tuesday. “I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken.”
Meanwhile, Lavigne has taken a different strategy to deal with their split opting to use her wardrobe to send a message to her ex. The ‘Sk8er Boi’ singer posted a series of black-and-white photos from Paris on Instagram dressed in a version of Vetements’ appropriately named Hidden Message Blazer ($3,812) emblazoned with phrases like “unbreak my heart,” “trust your instincts,” and “be patient good things take time.”
The following day, Lavigne visited the Courrèges show wearing another strong-worded Vetements outfit: an oversize T-shirt that read which she paired with thigh-high boots and a floor-sweeping trench coat. After dating for over a year the “My Happy Ending” singer and the “Flames” crooner got engaged in Paris in March 2022.
