The Lord of the Rings trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson, is a cinematic masterpiece that has captivated audiences worldwide. Based on J.R.R. Although very little is known about the timeline of the projects, Warner Bros. reached a deal with Embracer Group AB which recently bought the rights to the popular franchise.
Following the massive success of the original trilogy, Director Peter Jackson returned for three movies based on The Hobbit. A television show, Rings of Power, also debuted its first season in 2022 and an animated movie, The War of the Rohirrim is slated for a 2024 release.
This announcement comes in the midst of Warner Bros. Discovery shuffling following the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery in 2022 which also saw DC Studios get a major change at the top and a new plan for upcoming movies.
