Lil Wayne is widely regarded as one of the biggest names in the hip-hop world, having created a plethora of classic tracks over the years. He has a deep passion for tattoos, and his body is a testament to his love for ink. However, despite his success, Lil Wayne has had a difficult life, even attempting suicide during his childhood. Given his prominence in the industry, it is not uncommon for him to be compared to emerging new rappers. That being said, it seems the rapper is now a playable character in NBA 2K23.
Weezy is also well aware of the new generation of rappers in the industry right now and never shies away from giving the rub to a select few whom he deems worthy. He did so for Rich The Kid previously.
Lil Wayne has recently been added as a playable character in NBA 2K23, joining an already impressive lineup of hip-hop artists that includes J. Cole and Jack Harlow.
In a new trailer posted to Instagram on February 16, NBA 2K revealed that Lil Wayne is the latest playable character to be added to the video game’s MyTEAM mode’s Crossover series. The trailer features a digital version of Lil Wayne, dressed in the colors of his favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers, dribbling the ball and executing a slam dunk. Fans of the game can now access the rapper’s character as they play through the game.
Lil Wayne has shared a behind-the-scenes clip on social media, giving fans a glimpse of what it took for him to be included in NBA 2K23. The video shows the rapper sitting in a chair, surrounded by multiple cameras positioned at a 360-degree angle to capture every detail of his likeness. Photos of Lil Wayne are then transferred to a computer, where developers begin working on incorporating him into the game.
Although he is relatively short in stature, Lil Wayne has an impressive 89 overall rating in 2K23 and can play as both a point guard and shooting guard. Fans of both the rapper and the game can now enjoy the chance to play as Lil Wayne and compete with other iconic hip-hop figures in NBA 2K23.
