Drake keeps on winning in life. Be it in music or any other place where he puts his thoughts and money, it pays off most of the time. He bet on the Super Bowl this time and won more than a million dollars. However, the calculations and details behind the win were average at best.
The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles. Drake had put a $700,000 bet on the chiefs winning and he won it. In his recent Instagram post, he pleaded with the fans to not dive deep into the logic for betting on the Chiefs as there is none.
Drake made a total of 7 bets on the day. The Canadian rapper wagered a total of $965k on the bets. He came out making an overall profit of $512k. He made some specific bets on certain details of the game, all of which didn’t pan out perfectly. However, the end result came out great.
The “God’s Plan” rapper put down $50k each on Patrick Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster scoring the first Chiefs touchdown. He wagered $30k on the Chiefs winning each quarter, while he bet $25k that Travis Kelce would be named Super Bowl MVP. Drake betted $60k that the award’s winner would be a tight end.
Concerningly, Kansas City trailed 24-14 at the break as Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts appeared unstoppable at the center. Although the Eagles were outscored 24-11 in the second half, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes dominated. After throwing a game-winning 21/27 for 182 yards and three touchdowns, Patrick Mahomes eventually won his second Super Bowl MVP trophy.
This is not the first time Drake has bet some ridiculous amount in a sporting event. There has been a number of losses too while betting on some of the high-octane matches. However, this time his notions paved the way to a million-dollar payout.
