Fat Joe is a veteran in the world of Hip-Hop, having worked since the early 1990s. Throughout his career, he has worked with several rappers such as Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne and several more to add to the list. Fat Joe is also very serious when it comes to performing in concerts. It seems he hit out at fans for using phones during concerts.
The rapper is certainly known for his rapping skills and not so much for his fashion sense as he was previously clowned by fans. His choice of fashion featured Yeezy boots as well.
Fat Joe took to social media to call out fans for recording concerts on their phones, urging them to “live in the moment.” The New York rapper wants attendees to experience the show without distraction.
“We live one life … If you go to a show, and you pull your camera out and you’re recording, you’re not really in the moment,” Joe said on Instagram Live. “You’re recording what’s going on. You’re not enjoying it. If you know how to live in the moment … Put some fire signs if you understand what I’m saying. If you don’t then you lost, ’cause this social media got n****s lost. If you can feel the moment, if you can be in the moment, not recording … You can live in the moment.”
Fat Joe then continues to drive his point across, explaining that people have only one life to live and that they should live in the moment instead of recording all the time.
“Listen guys, you only live once. There’s never been nobody on earth, that I know of, to make a U-turn and come back,” he continued. “You have to make the best of your life while you’re here … Some people don’t care about material things, some people don’t care about money. Maybe just being with your family makes you happy, you’re in the moment. You’re doing what makes you happy.”
Fat Joe is not alone in his concerns over cell phone use at concerts. Lil Uzi Vert and Steve Lacy have also taken issue with it, with Uzi throwing a fan’s phone and Lacy smashing a camera at separate shows.
