Roman Reigns is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling right now. He has been the Undisputed Universal Champion for a long time now and continues to rule WWE with an iron fist. Reports have noted that The Rock won’t be physically fit for WrestleMania 39, and now it seems Roman Reigns has defended The Rock.

Wrestling fans have been eagerly anticipating a match between Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania for a long time. The WWE has been hinting at the possibility of this match for a while, and it has only increased the excitement among fans who are looking forward to seeing these two superstars face off in the ring.

Last year, Roman Reigns even called out The Rock during a WWE live event. In fact, The Rock’s WWE return was said to be 100% in the plans. However, the likelihood of it happening now seems unlikely.

This is because The Rock simply couldn’t be ready in time to wrestle at WrestleMania 39. While speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Roman Reigns talked about The Rock being unable to get ready for WrestleMania. He defended The Great One for the same, as it takes a lot of conditioning to get ready for in-ring competition.

“I believe he just came out with a statement saying that he’s not gonna be ready in time, which, that’s the face that everyone’s making, like, ‘Hold on! He trains every single day. He’s huge!’ In his defense, it’s one thing to train with weights, the bodybuilding, the look, the part… but, to be able to get in the ring and do a main event match, a championship match, it takes a lot of conditioning, it beats up your body.

So there’s more that goes into it than training in the weight room. It’s a professional athlete type of situation where you have to condition. He does two out of three things perfectly. His nutrition and weight training is on point, but you have to condition yourself, you gotta be ready to fall down.”

WWE also knew for months that The Rock wouldn’t be able to make it for WrestleMania 39. WWE also has not discussed The Rock for a non-wrestling role at the event.
