Jay Leno is a versatile personality who is renowned for his influence in the industry. However, fans must be aware of the misery Jay faced last year. Unfortunately, his misfortune wasn’t finished there; Jay Leno subsequently breaks several bones in a motorcycle accident following a car fire.

In a recent interview, the former ‘Tonight Show’ host disclosed that he is healing from multiple broken bones he had in a motorbike accident. Leno responded to a reporter from the Las Vegas Review-Journal who inquired about his recovery from a car fire that left him with severe burns in November 2022 by saying, “It’s so funny you should say that.”

“That was the first accident. OK? Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle. So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps.”

After the mishap of 17th January, Leno now informed the interviewer that he is “OK” and is even working on the weekends. The host of ‘Jay Leno’s Garage,’ who will perform in Sin City again in March for the first time since the car fire, said he was testing a 1940 Indian motorcycle when he smelled gas seeping, which reminded him of the explosion in his garage just months earlier.

“So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it. So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.”

“The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.”

Leno made the decision to conceal the incident because of the media attention given to his hospitalization in November and subsequent recuperation. On November 12, while working with one of his cars, a 1907 White Steam car, a fuel leak showered Leno’s hands and face with gas, setting him ablaze.

“You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free. After that, you’re Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down.”

After being taken to a burn center, the former late-night presenter received a variety of treatments, including two grafting operations to remove bad tissue and aid in healing and multiple sessions in a hyperbaric chamber to “decrease swelling” and “increase blood flow with good oxygenation.” After spending ten days in the hospital, he quickly returned to work.
