Miley Cyrus is one of the most successful singers in the industry at the moment and continues to make excellent music. However, Cyrus recently achieved a massive personal milestone with her latest song ‘Flowers’ debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Billboard Hot 100 song chart’s top spot was held by Cyrus’ “Flowers” in its first week of release. Her new song rises to become her second number-one after Wrecking Ball held the top spot for three weeks in 2013.

With 96 million streams, “Flowers” also holds the record for most streams in a single week in Spotify history. The song is the lead single from her upcoming eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, which will be released on March 10.

This past week, the song competed for the number-one spot against SZA’s “Kill Bill,” a highlight from her sophomore album, SOS, and Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” which had previously held the position for eight weeks in a row. The No. 2 spot is taken by “Kill Bill,” which comes after “Flowers,” and “Anti-Hero” is currently ranked third.

However, fans have observed that the song’s lyrics make it pretty obvious that she is singing about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. The lyrics have a double meaning, going into detail about both the breakdown of their relationship over time and the expensive Malibu home they shared that was destroyed in a 2018 wildfire.
