Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, and Holly Madison are names that many people are familiar with. Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison were best known as a couple, but they called off their long-time relationship. Holly Madison recently gave an explanation of why she didn’t feel the need to communicate with Hugh Hefner before his passing.

In a recent interview with E! News, Holly Madison gave an explanation for why she didn’t keep in touch with her ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner after their breakup in 2008. Madison has even stated the justification for her silence prior to his passing in 2017.

Hugh Hefner dated the 43-year-old ex-star of The Girls Next Door from 2001 to 2008, who is presently hosting ID’s The Playboy Murders documentary series. However, Madison was quite prepared to talk about the reason he hadn’t been in touch with Hefner.

“It was odd because after I left the relationship, I was so shell shocked because I realized that this vision I’d had of him the whole time as this amazing person was just kind of something I had wished for and kind of made up in my own head. And I realized the person I was looking at was really a stranger. So, I never really had any desire to say anything to him.”

“I knew there was problems in the relationship the whole time, and, obviously, super huge red flags. But there was also the other side of the relationship where we were really close and he would tell me all these positive things, so I always hoped that things would change.”

Holly even claimed that after realizing “he had kind of been causing all this drama between me and the other girls,” she “couldn’t put up with [Hugh] anymore.” What do you think about Hefner and Madison’s relationship? For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
