50 Cent remains one of the most influential rappers in the history of the hip-hop world. The legendary artist made a name for himself in several mediums such as games, movies, books, and more. 50 Cent recently said that Jay-Z’s influence on hip-hop isn’t bigger than Eminem’s.

Jamal Crawford, a former NBA player, recently claimed that JAY-Z had a greater influence on hip-hop than Eminem. However, 50 Cent called his assertion “bullsh-t.” The three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year made the assertion while appearing on Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast with Shaq.

Jamal Crawford used Hov and Em as a springboard to discuss his favorite basketball players. “That’s why my five, the dominance outweighs the number. Like, JAY-Z’s effect on Hip Hop is bigger than any album sales that Eminem will have, you see what I’m saying? That’s just how it goes.”

In the comments section of Hip Hop Wolf’s Instagram page, which had reposted the video, 50 Cent reiterated Shaq’s hesitancy. He wrote, “Ha Bullsh-t,” along with a sneezing face emoji.

The record sales for Eminem are not insignificant. Slim Shady made history in March of last year when he surpassed all other artists on the Recording Industry Association of America’s certification list (RIAA). According to the program, the self-described “rap god” had racked up 227.5 million in career sales, which included 166 million single certifications and 61.5 million album certifications.

The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), The Eminem Show (2002), and Curtain Call: The Hits have all earned him three or more diamond albums, making him one of just seven artists in any genre or age to do so (2004). JAY-Z’s discography is equally impressive. You can watch the Instagram post video below.
