After a failed attempt at running for local city council, Ben Savage is trying his hand at politics again. This time he is thinking about the bigger picture as he has his eyes set on the U.S. Congressional seat.

Adam Schiff is expected to make a run for Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s senate seat in the near future. This means that one seat will be vacant in the U.S. House of Representatives and Ben Savage is looking to fill the soon-to-be vacant spot.

For those wondering, the Hollywood actor has already filed his paperwork expressing his interest to enter the race for a chance to represent California’s 30th District which also includes parts of Los Angeles and the cities immediately to its north.

This news comes just a couple of months after Savage ran for L.A. City Council – a race he lost by garnering only 6.3% of the votes thereby tying for 7th place. The loss hasn’t deterred him at all as it looks like the ‘Boy Meets World’ star is already back out there again.

The 42-year-old actor has already registered as a Democrat and he already has some political experience when he interned for then-U.S. Senator Arlen Spector of Pennsylvania back in the 2000s while he was still a student at Stanford University.

Given how coveted the U.S. Congressional seat is, Ben Savage can expect a tough race with some of the most seasoned political veterans. We will have to see if he manages to win the race. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar news.
