Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a renowned figure in both professional wrestling and Hollywood. He has achieved unparalleled success in both arenas, but his recent ventures in the film industry have faced criticism for not being as successful as his previous projects. Despite this, he continues to be one of the most influential and well-known figures in entertainment. That being said, he charged a ton of money to promote his own movie on social media.

The Rock’s popularity can be seen on Instagram, as he has 358 million followers to his name right now. The Great One made sure to use the full extent of name and fame for the 2021 film Red Notice.

Red Notice was announced in 2018 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, filming was delayed from April 2019 to early 2020. The film remains one of the most expensive films under the Netflix banner.

According to a report by Variety, part of The Rock’s package for the film was the social media fee. It was reported that he would earn $1 million for every promotional post, which he will share on his Instagram and Twitter.

As for the film itself, The Rock earned $22 million. Besides that, The Rock also had crazy demands, which is what soured his relationship with Warner Bros. Regardless, The Rock has a myriad of projects to look forward to and that’s all that matters now.
