The Barman has always been one of the standout DC Comics movies. Its sequel is in the writing process. Director Matt Reeves has recently confirmed that he is working on the script for the movie.

Matt Reeves recently talked in an interview about the sequel of the Batman movie. According to him, he can’t reveal much but the scriptwriting process is ongoing at the moment. It looks like he will be bringing back the savior of Gotham city once again in a grand fashion.

“I mean, I can’t give an update on that in terms of specifics, except to tell you that we are hard at work on the script. My partner and I are deep in it and I’m excited about what we’re going to do.”

Last year, Reeves’ The Batman impressed critics and fans, hauling a massive box office amount of $770 million. Its success led to Warner Bros. announcing the next installment of the franchise right after. However, after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, the future of the DC Universe seemed uncertain.

Things took a turn for the better when James Gunn and Peter Safran became the co-CEOs of the studio. It’s safe to say that the future of DC is looking bright. When the duo was announced, they released a statement about their excitement for the job.

The intentions for the new DC Universe have not yet been disclosed by Gunn and Safran. Nevertheless, the studio made a few significant decisions shortly after they were hired. In the relaunched DC Extended Universe, Momoa might not play Aquaman, Wonder Woman 3 was shelved, and Henry Cavill won’t reprise his Superman role.

During the interview, Reeves also praised Robert Pattinson for his phenomenal acting. If everything goes well according to the plan, Pattinson will be able to showcase his talents again. How long will it take for the sequel to hit the theatres? We will have to wait and see.
