Evan Peters received enormous praise and even won a Golden Globe after playing the role of a serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. However, some people did not find it appealing. The mother of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victim criticized Evan Peters for winning a Golden Globe.

One of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims’ mother is furious. She claims that Evan Peters, who received a Golden Globe for playing the serial killer on Netflix, must have paid tribute to the victims.

According to Shirley Hughes, the mother of Dahmer victim Tony Hughes, Evan should have mentioned the families who are still suffering as a result of Dahmer’s atrocities in his victory speech, or he could have said that Hollywood has to stop making movies about killers and glorifying them.

For his role as Jeffrey Dahmer in the Netflix miniseries “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” Evan received the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series. In his acceptance speech, he informed the audience that he hoped something positive would come from his triumph and the series.

Shirley laughed it off, claiming that Evan’s win for the Netflix series wouldn’t lead to anything positive. She claims that repeatedly repeating the tragedy, only makes the relatives of the victims killed by Dahmer more distraught. There are many sick people in the world, and when actors get acting jobs by portraying murderers, it feeds the obsession, causing the sick people to live on fame.

“It’s a shame that people can take our tragedy and make money. The victims never saw a cent. We go through these emotions every day.”

Evan also talked about how challenging filming the Dahmer series was in his address, but Shirley questioned his decision to accept the part in the first place. She claimed that out of respect for the families still dealing with the grief of losing loved ones, he shouldn’t have taken on the role. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
