The Addams Family is one of the most iconic movies of all time, and it is a part of every 90’s kid’s childhood. Wednesday, a Netflix original series, introduced fans to a new version of Wednesday Addams, and her journey is only getting started. The series is now officially getting renewed for season 2 on Netflix.

According to Us Weekly, Ortega, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, and Moosa Mostafa would possibly return to Nevermore Academy. Hunter Doohan, Christina Ricci, and Jamie McShane may also return following the events of the season one finale. Thing, which was created by Victor Dorobantu, will debut after becoming a fan favorite.

Christina Ricci surprised fans by confirming her involvement in the show ahead of its debut. The actress rose to prominence after playing in the films The Addams Family and Addams Family Values in the 1990s. During the first season, it was discovered that Ricci’s character Marilyn Thornhill was actually Laurel Gates.

The show got renewed for a second season in January 2023. Prior to the renewal news, Wednesday set a new Netflix streaming record with 341.2 million hours of viewing. Stranger Things previously held the record with 335 million hours for the first week of their fourth season.
