Ken Block made a name for himself as a rally driver, among other things. He was a champion, action sports star, DC Shoes co-founder and more. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 55 following a snowmobile accident in Utah.

According to TMZ Sports, the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office stated that Block was riding a snowmobile at around 2 PM on a steep slope when the vehicle suddenly upended and landed on top of him.

Officials stated that Block passed away due to injuries sustained from the unfortunate accident. The sheriff’s office also released a statement on Ken Block’s death.

“Mr. Block was riding with a group but was alone when the accident occurred. We are saddened to hear of the loss of Kenneth and our hearts are with his family and friends so deeply affected.”

Block’s team, Hoonigan, released a statement on the tragedy, as he said, ‘”Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed.”

For those who are not aware, Ken was one of the most famous Rally car drivers in the world. He competed since the mid-2000s and won numerous championships throughout his career.

Ken is survived by his wife Lucy and 3 children. Block’s 16-year-old daughter Lia is also a driver. We offer our deepest condolences to Ken Block’s family and loved ones during this unfortunate time.
