‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ Set To Earn Nearly $100 Million Over New Year’s Weekend

Avatar: The Way of Water released a couple of weeks ago and it is the sequel to the Box Office record-setting prequel film – Avatar. For many fans, the original stood the rest of time and still holds up even to this day. Judging by the Box Office reception for the sequel film, it seems things are only looking up for Avatar: The Way of Water. In fact, the film is set to have a huge New Year’s weekend at the Box Office.

According to Comicbook.com, Avatar: The Way of Water is heading towards an even bigger New Year’s holiday weekend than what it had for Christmas weekend. The movie is projected to earn another $87-92 million over the 4-day weekend, better than its previously estimated $82 million for the holiday.

With that, the film’s overall domestic earnings will amount to $450 million. Avatar: The Way of Water has largely been seen in a positive light, even by critics all over the world.

It is very likely that the film will end up breaking Box Office records, much like its predecessor. That is certainly good news for James Cameron, who has lined up the third and fourth films in the franchise already. We’ll have to see when the third film will end up releasing in movie theatres.
