Lil Wayne has been a vocal fan of skateboarding for years, often incorporating it into his music and performances. The Grammy-winning rapper’s latest accomplishment has sent shockwaves through the music industry.

The news came this week when Wayne’s videographer for Young Money Skate, Phil Lopez gave him a pro skateboard. This amazing moment was shared on social media and pro skaters Torey Pudwill, Keelan Dadd, and Yosef Ratleff were also present to witness it.

Lopez said in a video that he collaborated with Thank You Skate Co for the board’s design. He also stated that this was originally a Christmas gift, but he later changed it into a surprise.

This was a Christmas gift, but I decided to turn it into a surprise because it would be more meaningful that way. As Wayne’s videographer, I wanted to do something special for him that he’d remember. I approached Torey, owner of Thank You Skate Co., with the board design, and he was able to help execute the production process.
