Lil Wayne has been a vocal fan of skateboarding for years, often incorporating it into his music and performances. The Grammy-winning rapper’s latest accomplishment has sent shockwaves through the music industry.

The news came this week when Wayne’s videographer for Young Money Skate, Phil Lopez gave him a pro skateboard. This amazing moment was shared on social media and pro skaters Torey Pudwill, Keelan Dadd, and Yosef Ratleff were also present to witness it.

Lopez said in a video that he collaborated with Thank You Skate Co for the board’s design. He also stated that this was originally a Christmas gift, but he later changed it into a surprise.

This was a Christmas gift, but I decided to turn it into a surprise because it would be more meaningful that way. As Wayne’s videographer, I wanted to do something special for him that he’d remember. I approached Torey, owner of Thank You Skate Co., with the board design, and he was able to help execute the production process.

The rapper’s journey to becoming a professional skateboarder has not been without challenges. He faced numerous setbacks and injuries along the way, but he never let them hold him back. In fact, he used these challenges as motivation to work even harder and improve his skills.

Wayne’s custom board is designed by RX Philly and it also features some of the memorable lyrics from the rapper’s career. Lil Wayne was filled with joy in the pictures with the board he shared on his social media page. You can check it all out below.
