Batista has worked hard to establish himself as one of the greatest Superstars in WWE’s history, but there were some unpleasant years. The Animal has seen great success in the company, becoming a multi-time World Champion prior to becoming a massive star in Hollywood. In the years after his initial WWE departure, Batista has made sporadic appearances on WWE television from time to time. By the looks of it, he decided to pay Smackdown a visit this week.

This week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown was the final show of 2022 and the company made sure to make it one of the most memorable shows of the year. This included Charlotte Flair making her shock return and beating Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The show also featured Batista’s longtime friend/rival John Cena, in a huge tag team match. Titus O’Neal took to Twitter and uploaded photos of himself backstage on Smackdown. He included a photo of Batista backstage, where O’Neal gave him a huge hug.

#SmackDown Was Awesome tonight and always Great to see all of my @WWE Family

Fans were certainly happy to see Batista again, even if it was just on social media. Batista is also likely to get his WWE Hall Of Fame induction next year. The Animal will forever be remembered for all of his accomplishments in the company and that’s what matters now.
