Kanye West hired Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, but it seems that partnership didn’t last. Following all the negative attention he garnered as a result of his controversial comments, Camille is no longer representing Ye.

It seems that Kanye and Camille’s relationship as attorney and client has now come to a close, and rather quickly too. According to TMZ, it was Vasquez who informed her firm, Brown Rudnick, that she would no longer be working with Kanye.

It seems that Vasquez was not comfortable working with Kanye in light of the problematic and anti-Semitic remarks that he has made, and decided to end their relationship after Kanye refused to retract his statements.

The firm, however, was willing to continue working with Kanye on the condition that he publicly retract his hateful comments. Kanye, of course, refused, and chose to fire Brown Rudnick instead.

It does not seem like Kanye is going to back down from the stance he has taken, as he continues to dig himself deeper into this predicament. It is truly disheartening to see a man of Kanye’s stature use his clout to spread a message of hate.
