Kanye West has sparked outrage after making a series of anti-Semitic statements. Unfortunately, Kanye’s rants have also caused a resurgence of anti-Semitic sentiments amongst the public. Following his recent spate of heat, Kanye West has been dropped by Hollywood talent agency CAA.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the prestigious agency has secretly decided to stop working with Ye. A source with knowledge of the case said that CAA severed its ties with him because of his advocacy of anti-Semitism in interviews and on social media.

The announcement comes shortly after Balenciaga canceled its collaboration with Ye, who earlier this month tweeted that he planned to commit “DEATH CON 3 on Jewish people.” The decision to cancel a finished documentary about Ye was also announced on Monday by MRC studio executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley.

This morning, after discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West.

We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform. Kanye is a producer and sampler of music. Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3000 years—the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.

Jeremy Zimmer, co-founder, and CEO of the United Talent Agency has also denounced Kanye’s actions, which inspired a hate organization to post a sign reading “Kanye is right about the Jews” above the 405 in Los Angeles.

“As a company we stand for a wide diversity of voices and ideas; But we can’t support hate speech, bigotry or anti-Semitism,” Zimmer wrote in a note sent to staff, per Variety. “Please support the boycott of Kanye West. Powerful voices spewing hatred have frequently driven people to do hateful things.”

It does not seem like Kanye is going to back down from the stance he has taken, as he continues to dig himself deeper into this predicament. It is truly disheartening to see a man of Kanye’s stature use his clout to spread a message of hate. In these dark times, it is nice to see other celebrities taking a stand against hateful ideologies.
