If there is one thing Freddie Gibbs is known for, it is beefing with other rappers. However, it seems that Gibbs has a good reason for why that is the case. The rapper explained his side of things during a recent interview.

In a conversation with Uproxx, Freddie Gibbs got to the root of his beefs, claiming that they stem from other rappers not getting his sense of humor and not being able to take a joke.

I can take the jokes. That’s the point. If you can dish it out, you got to be able to take it.

Gibbs, who has in the past beefed with the likes of Gunna, Benny the Butcher, and several more, said that “when one of those rappers try to come and be crazy, [he] just [burns] their a** with jokes and they be looking stupid and then they get mad because they be getting laughed at.”

Gibbs further explained his approach to humor, stating that he does not engage in the typical old gangster trash talking, but instead he is “a comedian at the end of the day.”

Freddie’s most recent album, “Soul Sold Separately,” released last month, and as expected, the album features quite a bit of the rapper’s wacky sense of humor.
