Trevor Noah is well-known for making fun of celebrities and anything surrounding pop culture. On “The Daily Show,” the comic once dragged Kanye West, and the rapper was not happy. Noah now wants to make it clear that he is not beefing with Ye.

In a “Between the Scenes” video posted on TikTok, Noah explained that he was never “beefing” with Kanye West. During the filming of an episode of “The Daily Show,” an audience member shouted, “Why you beefing with Ye?” to which the comic replied without hesitating.

That’s a, that’s an interesting way to phrase it, because a beef has to go both ways. In my limited understanding of the world, beef has always been something that generally will happen between two hip hop artists. I was never beefing with Kanye West. I was concerned for Kanye West.

The 38-year-old South African comedian further addressed the question by discussing mental health with the viewers. He also stated that he grew up listening to Ye’s music and that most of his comments about the rapper are motivated by concern.

It’s interesting how, you know, what you’re asking me makes sense, because that’s how you see the framing. If you’ve seen any of the comments I’ve said about him, is a concern, definitely. I grew up loving this man. I still love him, despite the sh– that he talks, And so for me, it’s not a beef.

Trevor Noah shocked his audience last month after announcing that he is leaving “The Daily Show.” He has hosted the Comedy Central program for seven years since taking the reins from Jon Stewart in 2015. Noah will host his last episode on December 8th.
