WWE made headlines when they hired Simone Johnson back in 2020. The Rock’s daughter then began training at the Performance Center. She is also close to making her WWE television debut.

Simone Johnson does not have the best of luck when it comes to her physical well-being. She had previously gone under the knife on her knee. After recovering, Johnson also revealed her new ring name, as she was changed to Ava Raine.

The Rock’s daughter also cut a mean promo during an NXT live event, as she targeted Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. She isn’t the only prospect, as WWE previously signed Valerie Loureda and she has been hard at work as well.

While speaking during the NXT Halloween Havoc press conference, Shawn Michaels provided an update on Ava Raine and Valerie Loureda’s debuts on WWE television.

So, look, both are coming along great. I don’t wanna give out the trade secrets and stuff, 2023 for sure. They’re getting awfully darn close. I think Valerie has done one or two on the road, but absolutey, and Ava has done some promos. We’ve done stuff in the Performance Center. Both of them, maybe by the end of the year, and certainly 2023. They’re very close.

We will have to wait and see how the two young stars will be booked once they finally make their debut on television next year.
