Kanye West is not remorseful for his antisemitism, despite facing widespread condemnation from fans and celebrities alike. Now, famed comedian, Amy Schumer has spoken out against Kanye West following his recent anti-Semitic rants.

The comedian has joined the #RunAwayFromHate campaign, and the effort to hit West in his bottom line by asking massive companies like Adidas to stop doing business with the legendary rapper and entrepreneur. Schumer wrote in an Instagram Stories post, “Join me and @adl national demanding @adidas #runawayfromhate and re-evaluate their deal with @kanyewest,” which ended with ‘#RunAwayFromHate’, along with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) logo at the bottom.

Schumer, who is 41 and Jewish, said, “I think it’s really important that we call it out,” during an interview with Extra while out promoting the premiere of Inside Amy Schumer. She further added, “Kanye West is an anti-Semite, and hating Jewish people and spreading hate speech. These social media outlets, they need to embrace their own rules.” She also called for hateful tweets to be taken down.

“They need to enforce their own rules. I found out 84 percent of hateful tweets they are just allowed to continue. They don’t take them down… We can’t allow that, it’s harmful.”

It should be noted, Schumer is friends with the rapper’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian and appeared on the last season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She advised a reality star on her opening monologue for her Saturday Night Live debut last year (although Kim mostly ignored her suggestions). Amy has described Kim as part of her ‘support system,’ and the two frequently exchange texts. So it’d be interesting to see how Kim reacts to Amy’s online criticism of Ye.

While Kanye has been known to go on unpredictable outburst on social media, his rants have seemed to be more frequent this year, which includes the anti-Semitic remarks. Although, he typically deletes them after a short time. Meanwhile, you can check out Amy’s post below.
