Keith McNally, the renowned Balthazar restaurant’s owner in New York City, recently took to Instagram to criticize James Corden for repeatedly being extremely rude to his staff. Keith McNally called James Corden a “cretin of a man” for what he claims was abhorrent behavior at his establishment. James Corden has now been “banned” from using Ryanair, the airline, following the presenter’s temporary exclusion from the New York eatery.

The co-creator of Gavin and Stacey was temporarily prohibited from entering Balthazar in Manhattan after the restaurant’s owner Keith McNally said he had been “very disrespectful” to his staff on two separate occasions. Mr. McNally chose to suspend Corden after initially calling him “a hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man, and the most abusive customer” he had encountered in 25 years.

According to TMZ, Stratis Morfogen has opened 40 restaurants over the years in New York. He stated that James is one of the most pleasant and funny people he has ever served, to the point where Stratis said he can’t even imagine James being abrasive.

When Stratis hosted and catered a 2018 post-Grammys event for Bruno Mars and Atlantic Records at his Brooklyn Chop House restaurant, he added that James was there singing songs with bartenders and having fun with staffers at the bar and even gave a nice tip.

James is also being defended by famed restaurateur Todd English, who said that every time he’s served Corden, the comedian’s been “absolutely lovely” to everyone in the place.

Todd, whose been the head chef at Tony Awards afterparties, said that James was always “incredibly personable” to him and his staff who traveled from Todd English’s Olives in Las Vegas. Corden also apologized for his supposed actions as well.
