Fans of the Netflix show based on the life of serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer were disappointed to find that they will be unable to dress up as the serial killer for Halloween. This is because eBay stopped selling costume pieces honoring the serial murderer. However, Etsy has now become their go-to destination.

TMZ reports, this scary season, Jeffrey Dahmer is all the rage, and while full-fledged costumes that mimicked the serial killer and his crimes have been taken down, the homemade crowd still has a place to go. As it turns out, Etsy is now selling a ton of merchandise with the Dahmer theme.

It appears to include everything from graphic t-shirts to cutting boards. The shirts in particular are offensive, especially given the sarcastic messages printed across the fronts. There are a few “Jeff Boyardee” t-shirts that range in price from $8 to $20, more or less.

“Choke me like Bundy and Eat me like Dahmer,” reads another that leans in on sadomasochism and makes reference to another serial killer. It shows both of their faces. Dahmer shoes with a cartoon version of his face and a bunch of chopped meat all over the outside are also for sale.

Dahmer’s name is etched into the wood of the cutting board, along with a message that reads, “If you can’t beat ’em, eat ’em. – Jeffrey Dahmer.” The point here is that Dahmer fever has spread well beyond places like eBay, which has deleted many similar items. According to the outlet, many of the Jeffrey-inspired costumes that were/are on eBay violate their terms and conditions.

eBay is clearly against it especially when it comes to promoting violent content, which clearly applies to Dahmer, who murdered up to 17 boys and men. Despite the uproar from the families of the deceased, if individuals want to dress up like Dahmer, they’ll undoubtedly do it whether they can get it on the Internet or elsewhere.

That’s part of the controversy surrounding the Netflix series, which has been so well-made, creepy, and meme-able that people can’t seem to stop themselves. Let’s see whether we get to see it on Halloween. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
