Kanye West ignited widespread outrage after he shared anti-Semitic content on his social media accounts over the last couple of weeks. This eventually resulted in Twitter and Instagram suspending the rapper’s accounts. In a completely unexpected move, Ye has now agreed to buy right-wing social media site, Parler.
The Chicago-native rapper has agreed to buy Parler in principle. The site has attracted several right-wing individuals who were kicked off mainstream platforms. On Monday, the service’s parent company, Parlement Technologies, issued a statement to the New York Post confirming the agreement. Ye also had a few words to say.
In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,
Kanye has made multiple public appearances since his social media ban. He recently appeared on Drink Champs, where he doubled down on his anti-Semitic comments. Not to mention, the rapper is also standing by his “White Lives Matter” shirts that he unveiled at the YZYSzN9 fashion show in Paris.
Several rappers and celebrities have spoken out against Kanye’s recent antics. Kim Kardashian, his ex-wife, was completely disgusted by his fashion show. Some of the heavy hitters who have joined the anti-Ye team in the last few days include Boosie Badazz, Justin Bieber, and Kevin Nash.
