‘Dahmer’ is the second most popular show in Netflix ever. The show is about Jeffrey Dahmer, a serial killer who murdered seventeen young men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Many of his killings involved acts of cannibalism, necrophilia, and the preservation of body parts.

Although the show is quite popular on Netflix, it has garnered a fair share of controversy for being sympathetic towards the Jeffrey Dahmer. However, according to reports of Pagesix, the shows co-creator has denied that the show is sympathetic at all.

“I think we show a human being. He’s monstrously human and he’s monstrously monstrous and that’s what we wanted to sort of unpack,” Ian Brennan told Page Six at the premiere of “The Watcher” on Wednesday evening, responding to the intense backlash the show has garnered.

He further claimed that the show tried to be as objective as possible. The mini-series stars Evan Peters who portrays the serial killer on-screen. The popularity of the show has even surprised its co-creators.
