Lisa Rinna Blasted For Using Cancer As Emotional Blackmail

Lisa Rinna is best known for her appearances on the NBC daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives as Billie Reed. Rinna has also been on Bravo’s hit reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a prominent cast member.

According to TMZ, Lisa Rinna has drawn the ire of many for some controversial comments she made on the ‘RHOBH’ finale, which was to do with her opinion on cancer.

During the finale, Rinna justified sharing secrets Kathy Hilton told her by claiming she would “get sick and get cancer” if she didn’t get it off her chest. This remark infuriated the American Institute for Cancer Research.

A representative stated that Lisa is “just using the specter of cancer as emotional blackmail to justify airing her grievance.” The Institute added that Lisa is very wrong about how cancer enters the body, as stress is not a reason for getting cancer.

They added that wherever Lisa is getting her information on cancer development is “certainly not based on reputable research.” Lisa “has taken a popular (but likely false) concept” and spewed it to the masses for the sake of drama and this does not sit well with many.
