Young Thug has most likely been spending more time preparing for his upcoming trial in January 2023 on the 56-count YSL gang charge. There’s no denying that Young Thug, Gunna, and the other YSL members who have been detained are ready to learn their fate in their next RICO trial in January, with only two months left in 2022. Aside from that, Young Thug is also worried about his upcoming album.

Young Thug has issued an ultimatum to Lil Baby over the release of his upcoming album It’s Only Me from behind bars. On Monday, October 10, the incarcerated rapper announced on Twitter that his new album would be released this week. Otherwise, their friendship may be endangered.

“Wham if you don’t drop in 3 days we ain’t bruddas,” he wrote in a tweet. It’s Only Me, Lil Baby’s new album is set to be released on Friday (October 14) by Quality Control Music/Motown Records. Future, Pooh Shiesty, EST Gee, Nardo Wick, Jeremih, Rylo Rodriguez, and Fridayy will all make appearances on the project, which will last one hour and five minutes.

Young Thug, who has been imprisoned since May on racketeering charges stemming from a RICO indictment against his YSL collective, appears on the song “Never Hating.” Young Thug and Lil Baby have a long history together, with Thug being the one who got Baby started in rap by paying him to keep off the streets. “I was in the neighborhood and he was like, ‘What you doing in the neighborhood?’ I was like, ‘You already know what I’m doing,” Lil Baby told The Breakfast Club in 2020.

So he was like, ‘Okay, how much money are you gonna make today?’ I was probably going to make like $7,000, maybe $10,000. He just went, ‘I’ll give you that – just go to the studio.’ Sh*t went like that.

In 2021, Young Thug elaborated on his part in helping Lil Baby in establishing a career and keeping him out of prison. “I just didn’t want him to go back to prison,” Thug told The Breakfast Club.

I was scared for him to go back to jail ’cause he had just did a bid. He got straight outta jail and went straight back to the same neighborhood. The same house that the police bust and locked him up. He went right back to the same house. It was a spot. I think I was more scared for him, of like prison.

Before rap, he was getting a lot of likes on his Instagram. He had nice ass captions. Like bro, you should try to make a song. Just show him the life, took him a few times everywhere. You know? He started seeing, this sh*t kinda easy. We grew up together, too. It makes it seem like it’s easy if he seen me do it.

Let’s see if Lil Baby follows Young Thug’s orders. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
